Juilliard Quartet

  • Jane Mallett Theatre, St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts 27 Front Street East Toronto, ON, M5E 1B4 Canada (map)

Since 1946 the Juilliard Quartet has captivated audiences worldwide with its performances. Renowned as "the quintessential American string quartet," the ensemble seamlessly blends a profound dedication to classical masterpieces with a bold mission to promote new works.

Over the years, the quartet has featured some of the most eminent quartet musicians in the world. Recently, the ensemble welcomed violist Molly Carr, who joined the quartet following the passing of Roger Tapping in 2022. In a tribute to their former colleague, the quartet performs Tapping’s “Reverberations,” a poignant piece that resonates with the quartet's enduring legacy.
